On April 19-20, CLS participated in the Imperial Prostate Masterclass meeting in London. This meeting brings together key opinion leaders in urology and experts in focal therapy from around the world. The intensive program covered “meet the experts” panel session with discussions on the latest advances and challenges in focal therapy, presentations on screening and imaging in prostate cancer, patient selection for focal therapy, focal therapy guidelines for prostate cancer, and much more.
One key point of the program for CLS was the hands-on training session we hosted. We are proud and happy that Dr. Pierre Charles Henry, urologist at Urolib (urological team of the Medical Center Chateau Galland (MCCG)) in Besançon, France, joined us and held a great presentation about his initial experiences using the CLS TRANBERG® products in localized prostate cancer.
Dr Henry is one of the investigators in the ongoing national French multicenter study IRMPROFT in which our TRANBEG system is used together with other technologies for focal therapy. Urolib and Dr Henry have impressive experience in focal therapy, including focal laser ablation (FLA), and extensive experience in MRI-Ultrasound fused biopsy techniques that work well together with the CLS products.

During his presentation, Dr. Henry emphasized how the information from the TRANBERG tissue temperature probes provides key information to the physicians during the procedure.
All patient cases are different and real-time temperature measurement is invaluable to enable control and optimization of the treatment for each patient.
Our clinical application specialist, Mark Halberstadt, showed how to place the laser applicators and how to plan the treatment to achieve the optimal shape and size of the ablation.
Information from the tissue temperature probes is used and power and time are adjusted for optimal treatment outcome.
The CLS team in London would like to thank the organizers, delegates, and finally Dr Henry for a very interesting meeting which really focused on the potential of focal therapy.
