The SIU annual congress was held in Istanbul, Türkiye October 11 – 14, 2023 and hosted in conjunction with the 32nd Turkish Urological Association meeting.

It united urologists, healthcare professionals, national and sub-specialty urological societies and industry partners from across the globe, both in person and virtually.

At the SIU 2023 conference CLS exhibited its TRANBERG® Thermal Therapy System for treatment of prostate tissue in a minimal invasive setting. The CLS team in Istanbul, Dan J Mogren (CEO), Perjan Pleunis (VP Sales Europe), and Liselotte Nilsson (VP Marketing) engaged with numerous urologists and many development and business partners.

The team also participated in the full day Focal Therapy Society Conference that was part of the meeting. Different technologies for focal therapy were presented and round table discussions between key opinion leaders confirmed that focal therapy is gaining ground as an alternative to radical therapy for patients with low to intermediate localized prostate cancer.

We could conclude from the discussions that the specific features offered by CLS´s TRANBERG systems, like real-time ablation zone monitoring, will be key to the success of focal therapy. This gives us great confidence for the future!!
